WanderSearch uses a simple radio frequency tracking system which has been made in New Zealand specifically for this program. The clients wear a tracking device which comes in three forms – wrist, necklace or keyring, and each device has a unique frequency. The devices are turned on using a magnet. Once turned on, the tracking device emits an electronic pulse every 3 seconds. This pulse can only be heard by using the Receiver unit which is tuned to the unique frequency of the tracking device.

This form contains vital information about the person at risk which can be given to the police at the time the person is reported missing. A recent photograph of the person should also be kept with the form. It is not intended to replace existing safeguarding and security measures. Find out more here.
