Alzheimers New Zealand produces information sheets, brochures and booklets for people with dementia, their carers and family/whānau. To read or print these resources you will need Acrobat Reader. Most computers already have this programme installed. If you don't have it, you can download it from the Adobe website.

This brochure gives a brief introduction into what dementia is, the common symptoms of dementia and what should be done if you are concerned about someone you know.
This brochure is also available in te reo Maori, Samoan, Hindi, Korean and Traditional Chinese.
The Dementia Booklet (350KB)
This booklet is for caregivers and family of those affected by dementia. It covers a number of topics including detailed information on dementia and Alzheimer's disease, care practices, coping strategies and relief services. It is available from Alzheimers New Zealand National Office and all member organisations at a cost of $5.60
Residential care for People with Dementia (650KB).
This brochure is for people with dementia, their carers and families and explains briefly what is involved in planning for and managing a move to long-term residential care.
