Alzheimers Nelson offers support, advocacy and education for people with dementia and/or their primary carer and extended family/whanau in Nelson, Tasman and into Golden Bay area. Our staff advise and support people over the phone, through home visits or in groups. We also inform people of services they may be eligible for and help them access relevant support.

Our team
Field Workers
Alzheimers Nelson has three Field Workers who cover the Nelson/Tasman area.
Heather Lackner covers Richmond/Brightwater and Wakefield. Heather is our Manager and educator who provides training for our volunteers as well as family carers and community/residential based carers; Heather also gives talks to community based organizations i.e. Probus groups.
Sue Cochrane is our full time Field Worker who covers Atawhai/Nelson/Tahunanui and Stoke. Sue oversees the Wanda Trak pendants and facilitates our "Take Charge" Early Memory Loss programme.
Jane Anderson covers Mapua/Motueka and Golden Bay. Jane liaises with the Facilities in the area.
