Alzheimers NZ Privacy Policy: Dementia Friends

As an Alzheimers NZ Dementia Friend, your information is used to allow us to:

  • Communicate with you (e.g. to post you a badge or wristband or to send you emails)
  • Report aggregated (grouped) data to allow us to understand more about our Dementia Friends. No information is reported that would identify an individual.

We collect two types of information for this programme:

Web traffic information

We collect statistical data such as the number of visits to our programme, the pages that are visited most, how long a user stays on the site, and where the traffic comes from. The information is aggregated (grouped) for reporting and does not identify individual users.

Personal information

We only collect email addresses and other personal contact information when it is provided by you when you sign up for the Dementia Friends programme. We use this to communicate effectively with you.

Ethnicity, age and gender information is collected where you provide this. The information is aggregated (grouped) for reporting and does not identify individual users.

Security of information

The information you give to us is held in a secure database which is accessed and managed only by those with authority to do so.  For more information click here
