- Provide information on Alzheimers and other dementias - this includes verbal and written material on all aspects of dementia.
- Supply information on other community services which may be of help.
- Offer support for all people affected by dementia.
- Offer support for younger people and families especially in the early stages of dementia.
- Hold regular carers sessions
- Provide educational resources
- Provide speakers for community groups to help with awareness
- Advocate for better services for people with memory loss
- Advocate for people with dementia in rest homes
- Provide day activity groups 2x per week for people with memory loss and confusion - this also gives carer relief for 5hrs a day.
- Provide community education for at-home carers & families, rest home and community caregivers, PHO & DHB and the public.
